Let’s get to know Ben a little better with a Q and A Session!

Q: What’s your position here at The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: I’m the Head Chef here

Q: What did you do before you started working at The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: I worked as an account manager in the water industry

Q: What do you do day to day?

A: So I own and operate Nuneaton Catering Company as well as working alongside my brother Matt at The Horseshoes Nuneaton

Q: How long have you worked at The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: I started here in May 2023 working behind the bar whilst stripping out the kitchen ready for our new one. Our kitchen launched in early 2024 and that’s when I moved into the kitchen full time.

Q: What’s your favourite item on The Horseshoes Nuneaton menu?

A: It is 100% the Tikka loaded fries

Q: What is missing from the menu that you’d love to see?

A: I loved smoked meats, so it would probably be something with smoked brisket

Q: What’s your favourite drink on the menu?

A: Jack Daniels for sure

Q: What drink would you like to see on the menu?

A: A nice Dalmore 15 year old single malt

Q: What’s the best thing about working at The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: The free creativity I have with the menu

Q: Here’s a tough one…What’s the worst thing about working at The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: Now that the kitchen is up and running it would have to be the hours in there, I do miss seeing people front of house

Q: What’s your favourite thing about about The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: I love that it is a welcoming community local pub. Everyone is welcoming and everyone is welcome

Q: What’s been your best day at The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: The Rum, Ribs and Reggae event we hosted in 2023

Q: What are you most looking forward to at The Horseshoes Nuneaton?

A: The continued success of our food menu of course!
